This is a high tunnel we built for our water lily pond in Colorado Springs CO. It was our 2nd attempt at covering this pond. The first was only as large as the pond and had 2 supports resting on the pond floor. This one uses a steel spine constructed of chain link fence pipe and electrical conduit.
The stella cherries are nearly ripe but can be eaten. After owning our home for over 15 years the mulberry tree has gifted us with a purple sidewalk. So I tossed down a tarp and shook the tree. Dropped 2 or so cups of fruit. Made a smoothie with it. Was a bit leery of stems but did not find any after blending. Used the mulberries, ice, small banana and enough milk to allow it to pour. Flavor is good. Left the tarp in place. If I get more I will try it without the banana. Maybe runny but lets give it a try. Deb started a truck load of flowers. I have been busy creating raised bed planters for them. So far have one out of rotted railroad ties and one from a huge tire with the top cut out.
